MINI R56 N14 JCW Big Turbo Engine
One of our latest projects was this MINI R56 N14 engine which was rebuilt to a very high specification to take a big turbo kit. This was achieved by using lower compression CP pistons and a closed deck block to be able to handle much higher cylinder pressures. This build can easily handle 400+ hp in it’s current form. MINI R56 N14 Cooper S Rebuild
This MINI R56 N14 Cooper S engine came into us with a low oil pressure issues after it had been ‘rebuilt’. After a full strip down of the engine we found many issues including a clogged oil pump, worn out camshaft journals, excessive crankshaft end float, excessive piston to cylinder clearance, etc.
After a complete rebuild using Wiseco 77.50mm pistons and ZRP connecting rods, this N14 is ready for another 100k plus miles!
